Celebrity Boxing Superstar Jake Paul has made some bold remarks as he feels that Tyron Woodley training with Floyd Mayweather is a big disadvantage for Woodley and is of no use.
Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley are set to clash on August 29. The fight will happen at 190 pounds inside of a 20-foot ring. The pair have been going back and forth for a while and now finally they will get a chance to fight. Before that fight, Tyron Woodley was offered to train with Floyd Mayweather and they both started training together. Jake Paul feels like this training won’t help Tyron Woodley and instead, this will be a big disadvantage for him.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports Jake shared his thought on Tyron Woodley’s training with Floyd Mayweather.
“I think it’s a disadvantage for him, actually. Him hopping around with different coaches, trying to learn different styles, that’s not how you progress in this sport. You progress with one coach, one point of attention, doing the same things over and over again, and then adding on top of that each time. And Floyd didn’t even really have a strategy to go in and beat my brother (Logan), so how is he going to tell Tyron what to do?” Paul said.
“I think he sees what I’m doing in the sport and he wants to put an end to it. He’s a very greedy guy, he doesn’t want anyone to be more popular or have more claim than him. I think he wants to see me lose. He wants to see this whole train get stopped,” Paul said.
Jake Paul stated that if Woodley would take Paul as an easy fight that would be his biggest mistake leading into this match.
“I think he’s just going through the motions,” Paul told MMA Junkie. “I don’t know if he has really digested how good of a fighter I am. I still think there’s like this mental block for him where he’s just like, ‘Oh, this kid’s a YouTuber. How hard could this fight be?’”
“He says he’s training hard, and he says he’s doing all the right things, but I still think in the back of his head he’s like, ‘I’ve fought Kamaru Usman, I fought Gilbert Burns. This is gonna be an easy fight,” added Paul.
