YouTUber-turned-pro boxer Jake Paul has a special welcoming message for Francis Ngannou, the newcomer at PFL, by calling him “the baddest man on the planet.”

Congratulations, Francis, you deserve this: Jake Paul

Ngannou, the former UFC Heavyweight champion, had become a free agent after parting ways with the promotion earlier this year. After much speculation and rumors about where his next destination will be, “The Predator” is now officially confirmed to be heading to PFL, and will be competing in the promotion’s PPV ‘Superfight Division’.

The 36-year-old has been out of action since his victory over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 back in January 2022 and is set to make his PFL debut next year, which will mark at least a two-year hiatus away from the cage.

Upon the news of Ngannou joining PFL breaking out, Jake Paul, who joined the promotion earlier this year, wasted no time in welcoming the heavyweight fighter through a video on Twitter captioned “The baddest man on the planet has officially joined.”

“Francis, welcome to the PFL. Everybody, it is official. This is massive, massive, massive, massive news in MMA. We have some huge fights on the horizon. Congratulations, Francis, you deserve this. The best heavyweight in the f*cking world to the PFL, and PFL Africa is going to be massive. So excited. Let’s go,” Paul said in the clip. [H/T BJPenn.com]

Following his joining, Paul and PFL co-created ‘PFL PPV Super Fight’, a PPV division wich guarantees fighters 50% of revenue from the events. Considering Ngannou’s past fallouts with the UFC regarding unsatisfactory fight purses, this would be beneficial for the Frenc-Cameroonian, and there’s also the flexibility to fight outside PFL which could have Ngannou making his much-awaited boxing debut later this year.
