Jan Blachowicz reacts to his loss to Glover Teixeira at UFC 267

Former UFC Light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz releases his statement after facing a second-round submission loss to Glover Teixeira at UFC 267. At UFC 267 Jan Blachowicz’s reign as UFC light heavyweight champion was stopped when he tapped out to a Teixeira rear-naked choke in the second round of his title fight in Abu Dhabi. Glover entered the fight at the no.1 contender of the division and also as 42 years old. He left the building with the belt and also become the second oldest fighter to win a UFC championship. Jan Blahcowicz who was heartbroken after the fight has now finally reacted to his loss.

After the UFC 267 loss, Jan Blahcowicz left the octagon pretty much heartbroken after he failed to defend his title for the second time and lost the fight to Glover by an RNC in the second round of the fight.

After the fight was over DC asked Jan about the fight to which he responded by saying that he left his legendary polish power in his hotel room.

“Everything was wrong with me,” Blachowicz said in front of 10,000 fans at Etihad Arena. “I think I left the legendary Polish power at hotel room. That’s what happened. But this is not end of story. This book is not closed. I’m not a quitter. I’m not going anywhere.”

In the post-match press conference, Jan stated that he is clearly not happy with his performance but he will definitely come back stronger.

“I think my performance tonight was horrible,” Blachowicz said in his post-fight news conference (via MMA Fighting). “I don’t know. I wasn’t champion today. He was. He is. …”

“For sure something was bad. It wasn’t me (in there). I don’t want to explain myself. He beat me. Everybody see. It is what it is.”

He also praised Glover for his game plan.

“But he don’t let me do this,” Blachowicz said. “He just take me down and submit me. What can I say more? I feel like sh*t, and that’s it.”

Jan Blachowicz also said that he will be looking forward to getting his belt back in the future.

“He’s 3 years older than me, so it’s something (that shows me) I have some time to get this belt back,” Blachowicz said. “And that is what I’d like to do in the future.”

After the fight took to social media Jan Blachowicz posted a photo on Instagram and thanks to his fans for their support.

“Today I left the legendary polish power in the hotel room. Congrats to Glover, who won fair and square, well deserved. Remember that the last pages of my story are still unwritten. Thank you for all the support.”
