UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz has said that he is willing to fight the former light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, at heavyweight.

Jon Jones is at odds with the UFC over his pay for a potential fight against UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

While Jon Jones wants more money to fight at heavyweight, current light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz said that Jones can move down to 205lbs if he wants to.

Now I am the king of 205, but he can come back to 205,” Jan Blachowicz told RT Sport. “I can meet him at 205 or at heavyweight, I don’t care. I’m just waiting for the next fight, for the next decision. If the UFC gives me Jon Jones I would be happy. If not, I will be happy about my next opponent. I think my next opponent will be Glover Teixeira but we will see. But if Jon Jones, I think he will stay at heavyweight, but if he changes his mind, I’m waiting for him. No problem.”

Jan Blachowicz was next in line to fight Jon Jones last year, but ‘Bones’ dropped his title in order to move up to heavyweight. Blachowicz instead fought Dominick Reyes for the vacant light heavyweight title at UFC 253 and defeated him via TKO to become the new champion.

He (did) almost everything at 205. Almost everything because he did not fight against me, that’s why he did almost everything. I understand his decision because I think he knew if he was gonna fight against me, he was gonna lose this fight. So he did this decision, ‘Now I go to heavyweight. If I go to heavyweight, if I lose at heavyweight, no problem because I will start talking, okay that was not my weight.’ Then maybe he will come back to 205. We’ll see. But then he’s gonna meet me. I’m waiting for him. He promised me this fight after I knocked out Corey Anderson so I’m just waiting for him, but we’ll see.” Blachowicz said.

Jon Jones fires back at Jan Blachowicz

While Jan has been repeatedly calling Jones out, the former light heavyweight champion doesn’t like to be disrespected by the new champion.

Hey Jan, how about you build your own legacy without talking s**t about me,” Jones wrote. “Go out, win 10 world titles and then parade yourself as some unbelievable fighter. Someone I ran away from. Just another option for you.”

I was so afraid of Jan that I went after Francis and Stipe, legendary polish tales,” Jones added.
