In a performance that perfectly exemplified the phrase “studying tape pays off,” Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi turned his ONE Championship main event debut into a masterclass of tactical execution and explosive finishing power.

The rising Thai star shocked the world at ONE Fight Night 32, flatlining highly ranked Nakrob Fairtex with a picture-perfect left head kick just 52 seconds into their flyweight Muay Thai clash.

What made the knockout even more impressive was the approach behind it. Jaosuayai had identified a defensive flaw in his opponent’s game and executed his strategy to perfection.

“I’ve studied him from his previous fights, and normally when he walks in, his right guard falls, so it’s a bit low,” Jaosuayai said.

The 23-year-old fighter capitalised on this weakness immediately, scoring a knockdown within the first 30 seconds before delivering the fight-ending blow moments later.

“I thought that would be an opening that I could use. So, when he came in like that, and I saw the opening, I led with my punches, and then I connected with a high kick onto his neck,” the Thai athlete remarked.

Even Jaosuayai seemed surprised by the rapid conclusion to what was expected to be a competitive main event bout.

“It was totally unexpected, and I’m very happy about it. I didn’t think that I would get the knockout that quick,” the new contender stated.

The victory represents the culmination of years of dedication for the Sor Dechapan product, who has been honing his craft for over a decade and a half.

“For 16 years, I’ve been on this journey, and I’ve been fighting, and I’ve been training really hard. I am proud of myself. I’m so thankful that I did not give up,” Jaosuayai said.

Now riding a five-fight winning streak, Jaosuayai has positioned himself as a legitimate contender. His viral knockout has already sparked discussions about potential super-fights, with former champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon emerging as a natural opponent.

The Thai sensation remains open to any challenge that comes his way.

“I never turn down my opponents. So if the chance comes, I will definitely catch it,” Jaosuayai concluded.
