Last weekend Weili Zhang created history by becoming the first-ever Chinese UFC champion. The 30-year old knocked out reigning UFC strawweight champion in the first round at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre in Shenzhen, China.

The fight didn’t last long as Zhang only needed 42-seconds to KO Andrade. She buzzed Andrade early and then followed up with elbows and knees and then dropped her and the referee immediately lunged to stop the fight.

I felt the punch, then came the elbows. I kept blacking out and coming back and blacking out again. There wasn’t much to do,” she explained. “I couldn’t work my aggressiveness, my strikes. The little I put on her, she felt. It’s part of the job, one day you win, one day you lose.” (H/T –
