Joanna Jedrzejczyk reportedly unable to make weight for this weekend’s fight – UFC looking at alternatives

The former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk previously moved up to the women’s flyweight division. However, she was all set to move back down to the strawweight division and face the popular fan-favorite Michelle Waterson. Though, that fight is now in jeopardy as Joanna is reportedly unable to make weight for this weekend’s fight.

The news was first reported and broken by Combate.com, Raphael Marinho and was later back by TSN Sports’ Aaron Bronsteter. They reported that the former champion from Poland is struggling to make weight and will most likely miss it. They also claimed that the UFC management is offering two choices to Waterson, i.e. to either accept a catchweight fight against Jedrzejczyk or to face Angela Hill at UFC 244.

Some breaking news from @raphamarinho of Combate this morning, who reports that Joanna Jędrzejczyk has informed the UFC that she will be unable to make 115 for this weekend’s main event Waterson is refusing a catchweight and has also refused to face Dern or Ribas per Marinho.

Angela Hill may replace Waterson in the main and face Joanna at a catchweight and Waterson may move to the UFC 244 card. Developing story and worth keeping an eye on @raphamarinho‘s account for any updates.
