Former UFC Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has parted ways with the sport, but the women’s MMA legend may just return to Octagon only on one condition- she gets to fight for the “Female BMF” title.

The Symbolic UFC BMF (Baddest Motherf****r) Belt was contested between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 244, with “Gamebred” being the first and only winner of the celebratory title.

There’s not many real O.G. female fighters left: Joanna Jedrzejczyk clueless on her “BFMF” title opponent

Joanna Jedrzejczyk, announced the end of her mixed martial arts career after her second consecutive loss to Weili Zhang at UFC 275 last month, which marked her fifth defeat in her last seven fights. Despite retiring from the sport, the future Hall of Famer said that she would continue to work with the promotion.

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Jedrzejczyk stated that while she is at peace with the decision to hang up her gloves, she might make a comeback to the cage just once, and fight for the “BFMF” belt, while being vague about her possible opponent.

“Maybe I could come back for the female ‘BMF’ title,” said Jedrzejczyk, “Look, I’m retired. I am retired, but in the future, maybe I would fight for the ‘BFMF’ [belt]. I don’t know [who I would fight], there’s not that many ‘BFMF,’ real O.G. female fighters left.”

Despite the setbacks in the twilight of her career, Jedrzejczyk remains one of the pioneers of women’s MMA. She won the Strawweight belt just on her third UFC fight, and continued to dominate the division, marking five title defenses. Even though her fighting career has come to an end, “Boogeywoman” said she will stick around.

“…I want to stick with the UFC. I’m looking forward to sitting down with Dana White to talk about my future, what I could possibly do for the UFC and the fans because there’s no sport without fans — any sport — and I’m very happy to be [at events], be around the fans, and I definitely see myself doing something with the UFC — broadcasting, commentating, just being around. I will miss you guys [as a fighter], but I’ll definitely be around,” she added. [H/T MMA Fighting]
