Conor McGregor has been out of action for over two years, but Joe Rogan feels we’re yet to see the last of the former UFC double champ in action.
He’s a f*cking savage, I hope he comes back: Joe Rogan
A former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight champion, “The Notorious” has been out of action since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy at UFC 264 in July 2021, two years back when he last fought in the Octagon.
Aside from the recovery from the fracture, McGregor’s return has also been undetermined due to him not entering the USADA testing pool yet, aside from getting involved in multiple controversies over the past months, putting his comeback into more uncertainty.

All that being said, Joe Rogan has still not lost hope on seeing the Irishman’s return, as speaking to Kurt Angle on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color commentator stated that McGregor has the capability to return despite such a long layoff.
“If he does, he would be the first,” said Rogan. “If anybody can do it, maybe it’s him. He snapped his leg in the prime of his career. Anderson was a little older, I believe he was 36, 37 when he snapped his leg. Chris Weidman was a little bit older, it’s a hard one to come back from.”
“It’s been about two years and there’s all this talk of him fighting Michael Chandler from The Ultimate Fighter. He’s sparring, I’ve seen footage of sparring. He looks good, he looks real good… He’s a different breed, he’s a f*cking savage, a real savage. I hope he comes back,” he added. [H/T BJPenn.com]
