In 2021, Joe Rogan found himself in an interesting situation while enjoying a night out with Leon Edwards and comedian Dave Chappelle. Recently, Rogan revealed the details of the day when Leon Edwards almost assaulted a bodyguard.
Joe Rogan Talk About Partying with Edwards and Chappelle
Following their podcast recording, the trio decided to continue the evening at a club. As the night drew to a close, a security guard, seemingly unaware of Edwards’ identity, approached him aggressively. The guard singled out Edwards, insisting that it was time for everyone to leave.
Rogan said in a podcast, “I don’t want to say who’s bodyguard it was, but the bodyguard was talking sh*t to Leon Edwards when I was with him.”
“I brought Leon out with Chappelle after he did my podcast, we all hung out and went to some club, it was a fun hang. But at the end of the night, the bodyguard decided he was going to kick everybody out and for some reason, he singled out Leon Edwards and he got in his face and he was saying to Leon ‘Hey man I told you it’s time to leave.”
Rogan Saved The Day
Recognizing the potential for disaster, Rogan intervened. He calmly explained to the guard the gravity of his actions, saying, “I know you’ve probably made some messed-up mistakes in your life, but you’re about to make the biggest one… You’re about to make the biggest mistake of your life.”
Rogan’s timely intervention likely saved the bodyguard from a confrontation with one of the “baddest dudes on the planet.” Edwards, a formidable UFC fighter, could have easily turned the situation into an unfortunate altercation. Fortunately, Rogan’s words defused the tension, preventing any further escalation.
This incident serves as a reminder that sometimes, even bodyguards need a friendly warning to avoid unnecessary trouble. Joe Rogan’s quick thinking and protective instincts ensured that the night ended without any fisticuffs.
