SBG Ireland mentor John Kavanagh has guaranteed the world that welterweight contender Gunnar Nelson will battle for the title in 2019.
Nelson made his comeback to the octagon with a victory over hazardous welterweight Alex ‘Coyboy’ Oliveira on the UFC 231 card.

The battle remained as Gunnar’s first fight in over a year since his questionable first-round TKO defeat to Santiago Ponznibbio at UFC Glasgow.
Returning against Oliveira, he was compelled to beat some adversity in the opening round before cutting Oliveira open with a ruthless short elbow.
Mentor John Kavanagh communicated his conviction that Gunni will battle for the UFC welterweight title one year from now – refering to his ‘updated approach to training’ as a key factor in his enhancement.
With his updated approach to training there's not many who can do 1 round with him unless they eye gouge, grab fence or elbow back of head. This time next year he'll be fighting for the belt. I predict dese tings. https://t.co/cJcsXKfDF1
