John Kavanagh is pushing the idea of seeing a fight between Tony Ferguson and Nate Diaz. Nate was set to make his return to the UFC Octagon at UFC 230 by fighting Dustin Poirier. The fight, however, fell through after Poirier pulled out due to an injury.
Nate was subsequently taken away from the card as no replacement was found. The fans have been talking about the possibility of Conor McGregor stepping up to fight in short notice. A good portion of the fans still thinks that the trilogy fight would be good for UFC 230.
But now, McGregor’s coach Kavanagh has shot down the rumours. He pointed out on Twitter that McGregor is currently suffering medical suspension. At the same time, Kavanagh proposed the idea of Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson.
