T.J. Dillashaw’s conditioning and strength coach Sam Calavitta came out in a long statement directed towards the recent occurrences where Dillashaw had tested positive for drugs. He talked about the fact that he had seen a member of the Training Lab family suffer a defeat in recent months but the defeat had not been de to the lack of skills or due to ta foe who had flesh, but rather a more sinister foe, which was self-doubt.

His statement went on to talk about how Training Lab did not condone the use of these drugs for any of their fighters, and they saw that their athletes received the proper supplements and proper training so that they could compete at the highest level. He ended by saying that Dillashaw had accepted the repercussions of his decision, and it was the decision of the Training Lab family to stand beside him in his journey forward.

Coach Kavanagh, the coach of Conor McGregor took the opportunity to troll Calavitta with a poem. There he said, “Is this a needle which I see before me, the handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee. I have thee not, and yet I see thee still. Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible to feeling as to sight? Or art thou but a needle of the mind…”

John Kavanagh is known for being sarcastic, and this was clearly his latest reply to what was a well-thought-out press release by Dillashaw’s team. However, no one had expected that he would reply to it with a modified quote from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
