John Lineker has a clear message for the UFC: Let me fight or let me leave

John ‘Hands of stone’ Linekar (31-8 MMA, 12-3 UFC) is currently ranked #6 in the UFC bantamweight division. He last fought against Cory Sandhagen at UFC Fight Night 150 last month and suffered a close split decision loss.

However, despite fighting only a month ago, Linekar is already ready to step inside the Octagon again. But he has been really been very inactive inside the Octagon. Back in 2016, he was on a roll having fought four times and only losing to TJ Dillashaw. But ever since then he has only fought once a year.

John Lineker’s last opponent has already got a fight booked at UFC 241 against Raphael Assuncao on the undercard of Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic. This has upset Linekar and he took to social media to express his displeasure with the UFC higherups.

“My last opponent fought 4 times in a year. He already has another fight! Sean likes him! I have fought only 4 times since 2016! I need to fight! If you dont like me or my style just let me go!!! @MMAjunkie @seanshelby @danawhite @Alexdavismma @ufc @MMAFighting @sherdogdotcom,” Linekar wrote on Twitter.

Prior to loss to his recent loss against Cory Sandhagen, Lineker (31-9) won a decision over Marlon Vera at UFC Sao Paulo in October 2017 followed by a spectacular knockout over Brian Kelleher in 2018.
