After all the grief that Jon Jones has caused to USADA, the latter is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that a clean Jones enters the Octagon in UFC 235. As promised earlier by USADA, Jones is currently undergoing a stringent testing procedure for his next fight against Anthony Smith.

“Every week, maybe twice a week someone is at my house taking blood and urine,” Jones today told MMAjunkie in advance of his March 2 pay-per-view headliner at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “I’m OK with it. I’ve got nothing to hide. I’m excited to learn about what’s in my body.”

As interesting as it may sound to someone who hasn’t followed the matter closely, Jones tested positive for the notorious M3 metabolite on 12/28, the day before UFC 232. And the very next day, on the night of UFC 232 on Dec. 29, he was drug tested by USADA and the California State Athletic Commission and all tests came back clean. No picograms of the M3 metabolite, which was the source of all the controversy and drama prior to the event, were found.

Scientists have, as of now, came to the conclusion that the metabolite has had a pulsating effect in Jones’ system making it appear again and again. And as a result the agencies responsible for ensuring that no injustice is done to Jones’ opponent Smith, have taken up the rigorous task of keeping a check on Jones’ system.

However Jones’ is not only an expert fighter but an avid marksman with a long approach to his residence. “It’s not that easy to walk up to my house in the first place, so they do a good job of announcing themselves,” said Jones, who lives in Albuquerque, N.M.

According to the CSAC, which ordered the additional VADA testing, Jones is doing well. He passed his most recent test conducted on Feb. 18.
