Yesterday former UFC interim champion Tony Ferguson shocked everyone when he called out reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones on Twitter.
Ferguson told Jones that he had previously jumped tow weight classes and will gladly do it again to fight Jones.

Got You In 2 Neanderthal, Talked To Your Pops He Knows Who’s Champ. # Anklepick # DavidVSGoliath pic.twitter.com/VaGUrm25OX

It didn’t take long for Jon Jones to reply, but he deleted the tweet as soon as he replied to it. Jones tweeted a rhetorical question on if Tony was feeling suicidal.
“Wait, when did this beef start? I thought we were cool!! You over there feeling suicidal Tony?” Jones tweeted.
The reason Jones deleted this tweet was because Tony Ferguson was undergoing mental health problems that resulted in his wife filing a restraining order against him. However, the restraining order was lifted after the fighter agreed to seek professional help to overcome his problems.
Jones later apologised for sending out the previous tweet and said that he didn’t know about Tony Ferguson’s mental health problems.
“Definitely knew nothing about my guy having any mental health issues, I do now though. I apologize for my response back to him and moving on” Jones said in a follow-up tweet.
