The COVID-19 outbreak has led to cancellation of not only MMA events but all major events across the globe. The pandemic has led to world on a stand still. There’s nothing much we can do except social distancing. Conor McGregor recently released a message for MMA fans. Another MMA superstar has decided to reach out to people, light heavyweight king Jon ‘Bones’ Jones.

Social distancing refers to staying in isolation (staying at home) to minimize interactions with each other. With no vaccine for the pandemic and only symptomatic treatment available, social distancing is only we can do.

“Just reaching out to let you all know that I love you very much. Hope you guys are keeping your head held high. You owe it to yourself. This world can be a very difficult place, and sometimes it’s going to present us with some very hard fights. But we owe it to ourselves to have faith, to be positive and remember that attitude is everything. Mentality, mindset it everything. No one is going to feel sorry for us at a time like this. We owe it to ourselves to not feel sorry for ourselves and do everything we can every day to smile, to do our part. And right now our part is to stay home, stay happy, stay positive. Keep a positive mindset, keep a positive outlook, and I promise you, we will get through this thing.”

Jones who trains at one of the biggest MMA gym in the world Jackson-Wink MMA has been forced to adapt these times. The UFC had earlier promised to carry out all events however under closed doors. The UFC Brasilia card last weekend took place according to plan with no audience. Later on due to continued rising cases of COVID-19, the UFC had to shift their events to UFC Apex where the Ultimate Fighter bouts take place. But eventually the plan got scrapped.
