The current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has long been teasing a potential move up the heavyweight division. Even the UFC management always wants to promote big champion vs. champion super fights, but Jones has till now been a bit shy to move up in weight. However, he has now claimed that a fight with the UFC heavyweight division’s boogeyman Francis Ngannou is inevitable for him.
Jones has a professional MMA record of 25-1 (1) and has already fought twice this year in 2019. He first defeated Anthony Smith at UFC 235 and then defeated Thiago Santos at UFC 239 back in July via a split decision in his last fight.
Jones has previously been involved in a bit of Twitter back and forth with Ngannou. Quite recently a fan asked Jones on Twitter whether he could ever see himself fighting Francis, Jones simply replied by stating that he believes a fight with the French-Cameroon fighter is almost inevitable for him. Here’s what he had to say:
I feel like that fight is inevitable
