It’s now more than two years since Jon Jones has been out of action, but there is no lack of action in the life of the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion. The last time the MMA community saw the 34-year-old fight was back in February 2020 when Jones defeated Dominick Reyes at UFC 247. Despite the prolonged hiatus away from the Octagon, Jones is frequently making headlines in the mixed martial arts scene, and the latest incident surrounding “Bones” is about his personal life, as in a deleted tweet, the fighter had claimed that his fiancee Jessie Moses has finalized that she will not be coming back to him.
Jon Jones reveals Jessie Moses left him 2 months back and now has finalized the separation
Back in September last year, Jon Jones was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on charges of a misdemeanour, battery, domestic violence and felony tampering with a vehicle. The Police revealed that Jones had got into an altercation with Moses, who stated that the UFC icon was drunk and had pulled her hair. Upon arriving at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the cops also observed blood on face and clothing of Moses, as well as a bump on her lip.
Jones, meanwhile, had been firm on his statement that he never got into physical altercation with Moses, but blamed his alarming behaviour on alcohol and traumatic events that he endured during his youth, including molestation. Now, in the wake of the video clip of Jones headbutting a police car and telling the officers to “hurt” and “kill” him, the former champion took to Twitter to reveal that Moses had already ended things with him two months back and now made it final that she will not be coming back.
“My fiancé left me about two months ago, today she finalized that she won’t be coming back,” the deleted tweet from Jones read, “If you are a Jon Jones hater, have a toast, I feel like shit.” [H/T MMAMania.com]
Coming to his professional career, Jones is speculated to make his much-awaited return to the cage in a UFC event later this year, although there is uncertainty surrounding his comeback as Jones is still engaged in negotiation with the promotion.
