Former UFC champion Jon Jones will not be training under the Jackson Wink MMA Gym for a moment as his coach has asked him to leave the team due to his recent arrest and illegal issues. Jon Jones attended the UFC Hall Of Fame ceremony on September 23 with his family including three daughters and his longtime fiancee Jessie Moses. After the ceremony, Jones went back to his hotel in Las Vegas from where he was arrested the day later. He was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on September 24, on charges of misdemeanour battery, domestic violence, and felony injuring and tampering with a vehicle. Later reports came out that he had physically assaulted his fiancee Jessie Moses.

After further investigations, it was revealed that they had some fight after Jon Jones came from a party. After getting released from custody, Jones talked about the incident.

“I will leave alcohol in my past forever,” he wrote. Jones’ initial message largely painted himself as a victim. He showed no remorse for what transpired.

But this incident wasn’t the first time that Jon Jones got in trouble. After dealing with such incidents for a long time, Jon Jones’s coach has decided to remove him from the team.

Jon Jones banned from Jackson Wink MMA

Jackson Wink co-founder Mike Winkeljohn on Wednesday told The MMA Hour that Jones will not be allowed to train at the famed Albuquerque, N.M., gym unless he quits drinking.

“I just had a conversation with him,” Winkeljohn said. “I said, ‘Jon, here’s the deal. You’re like my little brother. You have to stop drinking and fix these things for a certain period of time until you come back to the gym.’

“So at the moment, he’s out of the gym. He’s not allowed to come in the gym. I felt like I had to do that, because ignoring it and expecting different results, as they say, is insanity. He’s got a lot of yes people around him that won’t tell him the truth. He might hate me for it, but I’ll tell him the truth.”

Winkeljohn said the ex-champ “was disappointed” in the decision and “hoping we could talk it out,” but added, “we’ve done that before in the past.”

It seems like things are getting worse for Jon Jones. There were also talks that UFC might consider releasing Jon Jones from the contract but UFC President Dana White hasn’t talked about that yet.
