Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is down to his former rival Daniel Cormier commentating at UFC 285.
One of the fiercest and most personal rivalries in sports was between Jones and Cormier. Jones won both of the two fights between the two fighters, but the final one was declared a no contest after Jones tested positive for a turinabol metabolite. There were many things spoken during that two-bout series, and they even infamously got into a fight at a press conference.
Well, Jones appears to have changed his opinion about Cormier in the last few weeks before his return. Jones stated in a string of tweets on Wednesday that Cormier may commentate for UFC 285 from the cage.
Jon Jones down for Daniel Cormier commentating
I’m so incredibly grateful this morning, that could’ve turned out so many different ways. Been thanking God all morning 🙌🏾

“I’m so incredibly grateful this morning, that could’ve turned out so many different ways. Been thanking God all morning,” Jones wrote on Twitter.
“DC you are more than welcome to commentate at my fight, I think you are really good at what you do. I trust that you would be non-biased. All the best brother,” Jones later wrote.
Since UFC 247 in February 2020, Jon Jones, who many people believe to be one of the greatest fighters in MMA history, hasn’t participated in an event. In that contest, he defeated Dominick Reyes by a razor-thin and contentious decision to win his 13th career title fight at 205 pounds.
Jon Jones has been hyping a move to heavyweight ever since, and it will finally happen next month.
