Jon Jones promises to break Francis Ngannou when they fight

Former UFC light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones has issued a warning to current UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou.

The moment Francis Ngannou has won the heavyweight championship at UFC 260 beating Stipe Miocic there’s only challenge waiting for him that’s Jon Jones. UFC has done all in their power to make the fight happen but the paycheck which Jones wants for the fight is way bigger than what UFC has offered him. UFC President Dana White even said that if Jon doesn’t accept the fight they will give the fight to Derrick Lewis who is willing to fight Ngannou at a way lesser price than Jones.

Jon Jones takes shots at Francis Ngannou on Twitter

Even the fight between Jones and Francis seems to always be in jeopardy, Jonny Bones never seem to miss a chance to take shots at his opponent. Jones was on a Twitter spree recently and went all guns blazing. Here are some of his tweets.

“Ran through the light heavyweight division on talent, about to run through the heavyweight division like dominoes off pure hard work”

“Motivate me more”

“The greatest title in the world is coming back to the greatest country in the world.”

“If you think you are going to run through America, you are wrong.”

In a response to Jones’s tweets, Francis said that his opponent should be self-motivated and not ask for motivations.

“I shouldn’t have to motivate you Jonny…if it’s not in you already you’ve already lost. I know my motivation”

Jones immediately fired back at Ngnnaou and also gave him a hint of what he has to do to beat Jones and also let him know what the consequences could be if he can’t knock out Jones.

Oh you know what’s inside of me @francis_ngannou you’ve never seen me quit”

Pray you knock me out because if you don’t I’m going to break you, and that’s a promise @francis_ngannou

Dana White said that he has offered a good amount to Jones but he wants to fight Ngannnou for around $30 million which is not at all possible for UFC to pay as it much higher than the highest paycheck for a fight in UFC. White now says Derrick Lewis (25-7 MMA, 16-5 UFC) will get the title shot before Jones.

“We tried to work with Jon, and we eventually have to move on because realistically, and in all honesty, Derrick Lewis is the guy who deserves the fight,” White said on “The Bill Simmons Podcast.” “Derrick Lewis is a heavyweight, he beat Francis Ngannou, he’s looked good in his last couple of fights, he’s ranked in the top three, I think, and he deserves the fight. That’s the fight that should happen. We’ll just roll and do what we do. When Jon’s ready, he’ll let us know.”

He continued, “In his deal, he’s talking he wants $30 million guaranteed. The way that this works is, these guys all share in the pay-per-view. … He will share in the profits of the fight. That’s how it works. That’s how you run a business, and you don’t go broke.”
