UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has once again tested positive for steroid metabolite in his system. Jones was tested by Voluntary Anti-Doping agency on the weigh-in day and fight night.

Although the fight day had no traces of any metabolite in his system, but the test conducted on the day of the weigh-in i.e Friday, Dec. 28, 2019, Jones had 33 picograms of 4-chloro-18-nor-17β-hydroxymethyl,17α-methyl-5α-androst-13-en-3α-ol (M3) (or DHMCT) in his system.

Jones then went on to knock Alexander Gustafsson in the third round and reclaim his title.

According to the head of California State Athletic Commission(CSAC) Andy Foster, they are not going to take any action for the Turinabol metabolite found in his system.

“I spoke with the scientists,” Foster said to MMAFighting“They stand by their original statement. Nothing has changed. We’ve already punished Jones for the M3 metabolite, which is a long-term metabolite. There are no grounds to charge somebody twice for the same violation.”

Now Jones has reacted to this situation on Twitter.

“Please don’t feel sorry for me, all is well in the Jones camp. Not giving an ounce of energy to things that are out of my control.” – Jon Jones

Jon Jones tested positive for Turinabol after his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 for which he was given a 15-months suspension.
