Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is back 17-months after serving a suspension for unknowingly taking Performance Enhancing Drugs called Turinabol in his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.
In his comeback fight, he is fighting a rematch against his old rival Alexander Gustafsson at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 29. Jones has already beaten Gustafsson at UFC 165, which took back in 2013.
Both Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson were present at UFC 232 presser and Alexander Gustafsson and both fighters got physical at the stage.
Things got heated up when both fights got ready for the photo op and Jones stepped right in front of Gustafsson and Gustafsson responded by returning the favor, which led to “Bones” shoving the Swede and UFC president Dana White rushing out in a panic to split the two up before tensions escalated further.
The UFC 232 press conference also featured UFC champs Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes, who compete in a super fight in the card’s co-main event.
Whether people like it or not, Jon Jones is back and he was regarded as the best fighter on the planet prior to all the controversies and he is also the second biggest cash cow of the UFC and I am sure Dana White is happy to have him back.
