The UFC pound for pound kingpin Jon Jones is one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. Thus, over the years plenty of young and old challengers alike have risen to take Jones’ light heavyweight throne. One such young contender is Dominick Reyes. Reyes recently put out a tweet addressing Jones’ greatness as a champion. However, Jones did not take too kindly to Reyes’ comments and instead went on to slam him.
Jones openly slammed Reyes and told him that he does not need any party favours or any fake respect from him. Below is the conversation between them:
REYES: A champion so great, he is now going to be fighting the first of the next generation! It’s such an honor and I can’t wait for my crack at the king in the octagon.
JONES: You started this whole thing talking about party favors and now you’re going to show this fake ass respect? Serious question Dominic, what exactly is so next generation about you or your fighting style? You’re a new name, that’s the only thing different about you.
