Back in December of 2018, UFC 232 had to shifted to Los Angeles from Las Vegas on just a week’s notice. The reason being Jon Jones not allowed license by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as Jones tested positive for Tutinabol.

Despite testing positive, he wasn’t suspended. This was the same drugs he got banned for when he tested positive for back in 2017 after he won his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. He was later suspended for 15-months.

However, he fought in Las Vegas at UFC 235 despite tests still showing adverse findings in his system, but as usual, there was no evidence of any re-administration of Performance Enhancing Drugs. His fight at UFC 235 was a one-fight conditional license grant by NSAC.

However, for his upcoming fight at UFC 239 against Thiago Santos in Las Vegas, the UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will be finally granted a license for the fight confirmed by NSAC director Bob Bennett per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

Jon Jones passed all his tests as per NSAC’s requirement and has passed NSAC’s drug tests, plus drug tests from VADA and USADA. Although there have still been adverse findings for a minuscule amount of Turinabol in his system present from UFC 214, which is a pulsing effect.
