Jon Jones thrashes his former coach Mike Winkeljohn: ‘I left the gym because I wasn’t training with Wink anymore anyways’

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has opened up about his issues with his former coach Mike Winkeljohn. Jones has also made some shocking statements and revealed some inside information about his gym. He has stated that he wasn’t removed from the gym by Mike instead Jon Jones has himself left as he didn’t want to train anymore with his head coach Mike Winkeljohn. The dispute between Jon Jones and his coach started out when Jones was recently arrested in the case where he had got into a physical altercation with his fiance and Jones was taken into custody by police. After investigation, Jon Jones was released on bond. After the incident settled in, Jones’s coach decided to ban him from the gym unless Jones quits Alchohol.

Jon Jones newly updated his gym status and said that he is never going back to train at Jackson Wink MMA.

“I don’t feel like I carried the team, we have lots of guys doing amazing things out of that gym,” Jones wrote. “I will admit the program isn’t at the level it used to be, and it hasn’t been for a while now.”

“Definitely won’t be going back but I will continue to root for all the fighters that are training there. I do believe my training methods and sessions have improved significantly since changing environments. Grateful for all the time I got to spend there, everything has its time.”

“I know I won’t be able to train in my garage forever, eventually I’m going to need more training partners. Mainly wrestling partners and kickboxers. I’m on the lookout for teams that I’ll be able to visit and come train with, maybe get some sparring sessions in.”

In his fresh Twitter spree, Jon Jones has talked about his professional relationship with his coach and how he has no intentions to go back and train with Jackson Wink MMA. He also revealed that he is training with some of the other coaches but he not going to train with Mike Winkeljohn.

“Coach Wink gets on national TV and tells the world he wants the best for me, and then behind the scenes harassing the other coaches for continuing to work with me. What a miserable bastard”

“This dude somehow has found a way to run away every single one of Gregs original fighters. I can’t think of a Jackson’s veteran that still talks with this ass whole”

“I didn’t leave the team because I couldn’t handle a punishment, I left the gym because I wasn’t training with Wink anymore anyways. This man hasn’t taught the students a new technique since I met him.”

“What type of friend gets on national TV and airs his “brothers” dirty laundry. That was his opportunity to take a moral high ground over someone who trust in him. He didn’t give two shits about what actually happened that night. Anything anything for some publicity”

“If I was such a monster, he wouldn’t be still trying to monetize off of me being a former student there. There’s a John Jones poster in almost every wall in that building.”
