When Chuck Liddell said he was coming out of retirement, his initial plan was to get a few warm-up fights and then challenge Jon Jones, who is considered pound-for-pound the best fighter in the world.
But things hadn’t gone as planned as Liddell got brutally knocked out by Tito Ortiz in the first round and now Jon Jones has said he will refuse to reply to any of Liddell’s future call-outs.
“Yeah, it’s official,” Jones wrote. “I am never replying to Chuck calling me out again.”

Jon Jones also took this moment to reply to Rashad Evan who was working cage side as an analyst on the Liddell-Ortiz 3 broadcast.
It’s easy for him to talk shit when he knows he’ll never be in the top 10 again. His theory makes no sense, I was freaking massive for that OSP fight. Literally bigger and more ripped than I had ever been for any previous fight. Hey Rashad 🤫 https://t.co/kHvQzS9lur

Jon Jones is now all set to fight Alexander Gustafsson at the UFC 232 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A rematch of the classic light heavyweight clash that took place five years ago in 2013 at UFC 165. The first fight was won by Jones via unanimous decision and the fight was a very close one which could have gone either way.
