UFC News: Jon Jones publicly outs Paulo Costa’s apology after he trashed talked him on social media

Jon Jones

UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones is enjoying his time off.

‘Bones’ is currently facing some pay related disputes with the UFC. However that does not necessarily keep him out of the sport as the champ is always associated with some fighter on social media. This time it was #1 ranked middleweight contender Paulo Costa. Costa has been going back and forth with Jones on social media with the intention of setting up a potential fight in near future.

Jones sarcastically send a personal message for Costa claiming the foul exchange didn’t go well with him. He also sarcastically demanded an apology from Costa. However unable to spot his sarcasm, Costa immediately issued an apology to him. Be an actual fight or a Twiiter banter, a tiny bit of vulnerability is enough for Jones to capitalize. He didn’t waste any time in making the conversation public.

Jones taking the comic scenario publicly!

He addressed the hilarious scenario about the following conversation. (via Twitter)

“Lol this dude is a bitch, I was being sarcastic and he actually apologized.” He captioned the photo.

“Once you get 100,000 followers on Twitter I still start replying to you publicly. Why did you have to start with the insults man, the wasn’t very nice. You hurt my feelings. It’s not too late to apologize.”

Paulo Costa later responded:

“Hello Jon, if you felt bad I’m sorry. Was not my intention, really. I wish all the best to you sincerely. This is a humor page too, don’t take things here too seriously. But if you want I can delete it without any problems. As I said it is not the same sense to offend.”

Jones would proceed to delete these posts however BJPENN.com‘s Chris Taylor was able to get screenshots of the tweet.

Jones’ future in money fights?

Jones is expected to move up at heavyweight since he has achieved pretty much anything the light heavyweight division has to offer. The front runner to face him is expected to be heavyyweight kingpin Francis Ngannou. He has also been demanding a money fight with boxing superstar Deontay Wilder.

Costa on the other hand, will have to go through middleweight champion Israel Adesanya first.
