The MMA fans are still waiting to see the return of Nick Diaz. Nick has been out of action for nearly four years now. Although he is eligible to fight now, no fight has been finalized.
The name of Jorge Masvidal was thrown into the mix as a potential opponent for Diaz recently. And apparently, Masvidal is ready for the challenge. The same was reported by the Twitter user FrontRowBrian. He also went on to add that there is no news on whether Diaz is ready for this fight.
“Another interesting news item today…. @GamebredFighter has been offered a fight with @nickdiaz209. Jorge has accepted. No word yet from Nick. Keep in mind, Nick has been offered several fights since becoming eligible again. Declined them all,” Brian wrote on Twitter.
Diaz last fought back in January 2015 against Anderson Silva. The fight was a no-contest and prior to this, Diaz had suffered back-to-back defeats to Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit. He is currently 26-9 in his professional career.
Masvidal, meanwhile, is on a two-fight losing streak as well. He suffered defeats to Stephen Thompson and Demian Maia respectively. The 33-year-old was also involved in a social media battle with Leon Edwards recently. Edwards has been pushing for a fight against Masvidal while Masvidal is holding out for a ranked opponent.
