Jorge Masvidal is eyeing a fight with former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre (GSP).

Jorge Masvidal has had an entertaining 2019. He became one of the biggest stars for the UFC in the past 12 months. His terrific rise to the stardom has come at an expense of Darren Till, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz.

All of his three opponents in 2019 were knocked out. With the rise in popularity, Masvidal is chasing big money fights. He has also previously called out former lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor, who is without a doubt the biggest star in the UFC.

However, now Gamebred has his eyes set on GSP, who retired from the sport for the second time in 2019. Masvidal said that although he respects GSP for his accomplishments, he still wants to break his face.

Well, they’ve said this about me, that I resurrect fighters and then I retire them again,” Masvidal told Submission Radio (via TheBodyLockMMA). “So, I wouldn’t mind if GSP jumped on that campaign. In all honesty, as a competitor, I want to f*****g break his face. I want to go out there and give him everything I got.

But I respect the time what he’s done. Then he took, I don’t know how many years off, came back, beat [Michael] Bisping for the legitimate middleweight title. Dude’s a stud,” he continued. “He’s an f*****g animal, bro. I would put everything into my being, into my soul, to end this individual, because he’s that good. He’s the type of fighter, this s**t would require a nice training camp, isolation away from the world and just focus on the task. Just day in and day out, cause he’s a hell of a competitor, and I’m not taking a back seat to nobody in this division. So, I would love it.”

GSP last fought against Michael Bisping at UFC 217, where he defeated him via rear-naked choke.
