UFC has booked an amazing fight at the bantamweight division between Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz. They will be fighting at UFC 265 which will take place on August 7.

Former UFC featherweight champion and Bantamweight contender Jose Aldo will be back fighting one of the best prospects in the 135lbs category, Pedro Munhoz at UFC 265 on August 7. The event has no fixed location at the moment. The matchup was first reported by Combate. The fight is not yet signed by the fighters and UFC is yet to make it official.

UFC 265 will be headlined by Amanda Nunes defending her belt against Julianna Penna. Amanda Nunes is riding an amazing win streak and hasn’t been defeated in every long time. Penna is one of the top contenders in the division and this will be her first title shot. But to defeat Nunes will be her hardest challenge to date.

Jose Aldo Vs Pedro Munhoz will be a treat to Fans

From all these years watching Jose Aldo fight, we all know that he would never shy away from a brawl. Jose Aldo was the featherweight champion for almost 10 years but then lost the belt to Conor Mcgregor in just 13 seconds. He then again lost his belt to Max Holloway and followed by getting defeated by Max again in their rematch. Recently Jose has been fighting in the bantamweight division as he says he feels very comfortable in this weight class.

Aldo is 1-2 in this weight class. He first fought and lost against Marlon Moraes in a very close controversial decision. Followed by getting beat up by Petr Yan while fighting for the vacant bantamweight title. He recently snapped his losing streak by getting a decision win over Marlon Vera last December. He will be looking to continue this winning phase by getting a dominant win over someone like Pedro Munhoz.

Pedro Munhoz has had a roller-coaster ride in the bantamweight division. Munhoz returned to the win column in his most recent fight which snapped his two-fight losing streak. He defeated Jimmie Rivera by unanimous decision in a ‘Fight of the Night’.

Before his last win, he had faces losses at the hand of Frankie Edgar and Aljamain Sterling. Before that, he had scored a brilliant TKO win over former champion Cody Garbrandt. This will be an important fight for him as a win over Jose Aldo will put him in the top spot in his division.
