On the main card of UFC on ESPN 4 which took place in San Antonio, former NFL defensive lineman turned MMA fighter, Greg Hardy, brutally knocked out Juan Adams in the first round and put the entire heavyweight division on notice.

Before the fight, Juan Adams expressed his distaste for the Hardy and called him out on his domestic abuse cases and said that he would knock him out. But the opposite happened inside the Octagon as 45-seconds was all it took for Hardy to knock out Adams.

Juan wasn’t too happy about the stoppage and was visibly upset from the way he behaved post-fight. He stormed out of the cage which now he regrets very much. He took to Twitter to apologize to the fans for his actions and admitted that he acted horribly.

I apologize to the UFC and to the fans for the way i acted after the fight. I let my emotions get the better of me and i acted horribly. To everyone present and watching at home i truly apologize. I took a few to the head and was caught up in the moment.” Hardy tweeted.

He then continued in a separate tweet.

Guys I don’t party after a loss, I’m sorry. I am sorry for losing composure, I am sorry for not honoring my word, and all I can do is prove myself if given another opportunity. Whatever is next is next, but next week it’s back in the gym.”

With this victory, Hardy improved his overall MMA record to 5-1 and on the other hand, Juan Adams professional record now stands at 5-2 and is now riding on a two-fight losing streak, having lost to Arjan Singh Bhullar earlier this year at UFC Fight Night 151.
