Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos is all set to make his pro-wrestling debut in AEW alongside UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal who will be cornering him for the event. It was announced that former UFC champion Junior dos Santos will make his professional wrestling debut in a six-man tag team match on AEW Dynamite next week in Miami, with the episode airing on a Saturday as opposed to in its Wednesday slot. He will be cornered by the “BMF” champion Jorge Masvidal. Out of many segments that are running in the AEW including former UFC fighter CM PUNK making his way back to the top of pro-wrestling, one of the most viewed segments at the moment is the American Top vs Chris Jerico’s team.

In the lastest segments of AEW,  Sammy Guevara won his TNT title match against Bobby Fish, and almost immediately Lambert and the ATT crew of Dos Santos, Paige VanZant, Austin Vanderford, and Scorpio Sky made their way to the ring to gang up on Guevara. But Chris Jericho and Jake Hager came to Guevara’s rescue and stopped the American Top Team members. Jerico and Junior Dos Santos traded many blows to each other and Junior Dos Santos had to get out of the ring as things started to get serious.

Afterward, Lambert got on the mic and delivered a brilliant promo, setting the stage for a six-man tag team match next week in Miami with Jorge Masvidal in the corner of the ATT team. Jorge Masvidal will be helping out his friend Junior Dos Santos who will be stepping in the ring for the first time. The last time Jorge was in the ring of AEW he knocked out Chris Jerico with the same knew by which he KO’ed Ben Askren in 5 seconds.

The last time Junior Dost Santos faced Ciryl Gane was on 12 December 2020 at UFC 256. He lost the fight via technical knockout in the second round and was subsequently released from the promotion. On 3 March 2021, it was officially announced that Junior Dos Santos was cut from the UFC. Junior is now riding a four-fight losing streak in MMA but the chances of an MMA fighter making it to the top in Pro-wrestling are always high. The path of MMA fighters making it big in Pro-wrestling was set by none other than the former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
