Askren was dominated throughout the match and he failed to score even a single point. Burroughs won the fight by 11-0 technical fallout. This match clearly showed how dominant Burroughs was and a difference in wrestling pedigree between both the wrestlers.

After the match was over, UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje took to Twitter and expressed his awe as he recalled the time where he wrestled Jordan Burroughs in college.

The double leg from is a masterpiece. I wrestled him twice in college. First time I had a bruised sternum from trying to stop it. Second time he broke his tooth on my knee right away and beat me 7-4. I always brag it was his closest match his last 3 yrs” Gaethje tweeted.

Ben Askren is all set to fight Jorge Masvidal at the T-Mobile Arena on July 6 at UFC 239. He won his last fight against Robbie Lawler two months back at UFC 235 in Las Vegas, NV.
