The MMA world is probably going to witness a barn-burner of a fighting event this weekend. The event has some high profile match-ups lined up to blow fans’ minds. The main-event will be a lightweight bout contested between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. All eyes have been on the headlining fighters so far. Both Poirier and Gaethje have done a lot of trash talking and traded insults with each other. However, in a recently conducted pre-fight interview for UFC on Fox 29, Gaethje instead of throwing shade at his upcoming opponent went on to slam fellow UFC lightweight James Vick.

UFC on Fox 29 will be held on 14th April, 2018 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The main card will also feature the return of Carlos Condit since his loss to Neil Mangny at UFC 219 against a surging Alex Oliveira. Top prospect Israel Adesanya will face Marvin Vettori. While Michelle Waterson will be up against Cortney Casey.
The preliminary fight cards for Fox and UFC Fight Pass will feature fighters such as Tim Boetsch, Wilson Reis, John Moraga. However, the biggest buzz in India is about the Indian origin heavyweight, Arjan Bhullar is making his return to the octagon against fellow promotional new-comer Adam Wieczorek.
Gaethje was recently attending the UFC on Fox 29 pre-fight press conference, he was talking about his opponent Poirier when he suddenly changed paths and went on to slam James Vick. Here’s what he had to say:
I’m very thankful for this opportunity. I could be fighting some turd like James Vick – f-cking crybaby that never shuts up. That dude needs to get slapped, he called me a b-tch on the Internet, so when I do see him, I’m going to slap the f-ck out of him. I am not happy with him.
It’s like seeing a little kid that just won’t shut up because their parents won’t spank him. It gets old.
