Mixed martial arts in India has been on a steady rise- both in development and popularity. While the fight game has garnered a fanbase in all corners of the country, there is an exponential growth of fighters coming out of the North Eastern states, and now, the country has got an MMA promotion called Kanchenjunga Fight Night, imagined and founded in the state of Sikkim.
Kanchenjunga Fight Night returns with KFN Vol 2
It was a historic moment for Sikkim on 9th September last year, with the hosting of the very first KFN event, which was graced by the presence of the CM Spouse Mrs Sardha Tamang Golay as the Chief guest, along with MLA Shri. Aditya Golay, GJKP Chief Patron Mr. Prabhakar Golay, Gangtok Youth Convenor Shri. Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia and executive dignitaries as the Guest of Honor.
The event turned out to be a massive success, with the growing MMA and combat sports fanbase in the state garnering a spectacular experience, as well as creating sky-high anticipation for the return of KFN on the calendar.
And now, the Sikkim-based promotion is all set to return with their much awaited upcoming event- the Kanchenjunga Fight Night Vol 2, returning to the GMC Gangtok’s Indoor Hall this Saturday, 17th February.
