Professional Fighters League’s female lightweight champion Kayla Harrison has expressed interest in fighting current UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes and former UFC champion and current Bellator featherweight champion Chris Cyborg.

Kayla Harrison won the Olympic Gold medal in Judo at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic games and then turned professional in June 2018. With the PFL season cancelled, Harrison was handed a contract exemption to sign with the Invicta FC and made her debut in the Featherweight division against Courtney King at Invicta FC 43 on November 20th, 2020.

In that fight, she defeated her via TKO in the second round. However, despite all that, she has her eyes set on Bellator and UFC champions.

In an interview with MMAJukie, she expressed interest in fighting Cris Cyborg.

Of course, I would love to fight Cyborg. She’s one of the greats. I don’t think it’ll happen before the PFL season, but I’ll fight anybody. Obviously, Amanda is my teammate, so it’s a little different from the friendship side of it. But she’s the greatest of all time so of course, someday I would like to be considered good enough to fight the greatest of all time. That’s the goal, the goal is to become the greatest of all time. But Cyborg is another female superstar, legend. She’s a legend of the sport and I would jump at that opportunity,” Kayla Harrison said.

Kayla Harrison calls Amanda Nunes ‘GOAT’

She’s the GOAT. I’m a beginner, but she’s who I’m chasing. She knows that I know that, everyone knows that. She’s who I aspire to be like. That’s the goal, is to be the best ever. Right now, I’m just focused on making 145, winning this fight, on to the next fight, on to the next fight, on to the next fight. But, one step at a time, that’s how that happens. I think in the future … I’m never going to say no,” Kayla Harrison said.

I’m never going to say no to that opportunity. I would do it with respect and utmost pride in being able to fight her, and I love Amanda. I think she is awesome. I think she’s a good person. I think she’s a great fighter. I think she’s – I don’t know. I have nothing but good things to say about her, so if it happens, it’s not going to be like a nasty – it’s not going to be like a Colby-Masvidal. It’s going to be like a, ‘I love you, but we’ve got to go do business. Let’s go both make some money.’” Kayla Harrison concluded.
