UFC Lightweight Kevin Lee says that a grappling match with Bellator contender Dillon Danis is in works and both stars have agreed to the match and it could really happen. Earlier this month BJJ black belt Danis called Lee out.
Also, Kevin Lee thinks the fight should be shown on Youtube, rather than on Instagram as Danis originally suggested.
Speaking to MMAJunkie radio, Lee said:
“He issued the challenge, I’m still waiting to hear back. I know his people reached out to mine. I said I’ll take it.”
“It’s just going to be me and him,” he added. “Man to man. Just straight jiu-jitsu.”
“[Danis] said we’ll put it on our Instagram story,” Lee said. “That seems a little too small. That we have to figure out. But it will just be me and him probably in a room. We’ll put it on YouTube or something.”
“I grapple every day,” he said. “What am I going to do, lose? I don’t give a (expletive). It’s 100 Gs. I’m going to be pissed, but it is what it is.”
Dillon Danis has been making a lot of wave in the Bellator world and has been seen by many as the next potential Bellator star and he is also the training partner of UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
