Dillon Danis is making headlines around the world after he was involved in a post-fight brawl with Khabib Nurmagomedov at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in UFC 229. Khabib after his submission win jumped through the cage and launching himself into the crowd. His intended target was Dillon Danis.
Dillon Danis sprung back and started to wade into Nurmagomedov. He connected with a couple of blows and Khabib has forced back himself before being pulled from the scene.
After that incident three of Khabib’s team members were arrested and later Dana White said that Khabib’s teammate Zubaira Tukhugov will be released from the UFC.
However, Khabib has responded in an Instagram post that he will leave UFC if Tukhugov is fired.
“I would like to address UFC. Why didn’t you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple people?” Nurmagomedov wrote, referring to an incident in April when McGregor threw a steel dolly through the window of a bus Nurmagomedov was riding in at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, before UFC 223. “They could have killed someone there, why no one says anything about insulting my homeland, religion, nation, family?
“Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought. If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started. In any case, punish me, [Tukhugov] has nothing to do with that.
“If you think that I’ll keep silent then you are mistaken. You canceled Zubaira’s fight and you want to dismiss him just because he hit Conor. But don’t forget that it was Conor who had hit my another Brother FIRST, just check the video.
“If you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise, I’ll break it myself.”
Tukhugov posted a video on social media boasting on attacking Conor McGregor, he was scheduled to fight McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov at the end of the month, but that fight is off.
