As we roll into fight week, Khabib Nurmagomedov is ready in every aspect to fight his arch enemy Conor Mcgregor. In an interview given to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Khabib talked about how he always knew that the fight with Conor will happen one day, as the UFC is always looking to make big fights. Having fought thrice in the last nine months, Khabib thinks he has marked himself as the most active and dominant current UFC champion.

When asked about the infamous bus incident, Khabib recalls that it all happened way too quickly. But come October 6th, Khabib is sure to ask Conor about where his men are, once the cage closes. Khabib unsurprisingly reiterated his statements about “making Conor humble” and tire and sleep him inside the Octagon.

In response to the press conference, Khabib said that he could only make out 50-60% of what Conor said. Per Khabib, when he looked into Conor’s eyes he saw nothing but a drunk man.

When asked about all the jibes Conor has thrown at Khabib’s family, Khabib had a modest reply that he knows what his family is, the world knows what his family is, and maybe even Conor knows the same. It’s just his way of promoting fights.

As the days get lesser and lesser between the fighters and UFC 229, its all about who executes their game plan better in this highly anticipated event.
