It is indeed Khabib’s time as Khabib Nurmagomedov is still the undisputed Lightweight Champion. Khabib added one more victory to his undefeated MMA career as he submitted Conor McGregor in the fourth round at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Then right after the fight, he jumped out of the cage and attacked Conor McGregor’s Jiu-jitsu coach Dillon Danis.

During the post-fight press conference Khabib said sorry for his actions and started the press conference by saying

“What’s up guys. I want to say sorry to the Nevada Athletic Commission, sorry to Vegas.”

“I know this is not my best side, I’m a human being,” said Khabib defending his actions.”

Khabib also said, “They call him a two-time champion, two-weight world champion but he taps,” Nurmagomedov said.
“This is a respect sport, not a trash talk sport. Guys, you cannot talk about religion. This stuff is important.”
He also said, “I know my father is going to smash me when I go home.”
He told the press that he received a call from Russian President Vladimir Putin after his victory.

Khabib concluded the conference by saying“Putin just called me and told me he’s very proud of me, he said congratulations. I told you guys, everything I am going to change 6 October. Alhamdulillah. Thank you so much.”
