Khabib Nurmagomedov to Tony Ferguson: 'For the last three years Tony Ferguson you never won a single round in the UFC'

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has thrashed former interim UFC lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson. Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov have a long history between them. The pair were targeted to fight five times but all of those matchups got cancelled due to several reasons. From 2015 to 2021, the pair was scheduled to fight on five different events but unfortunately, the fight never came to fruition. The last time the duo was supposed to fight each other was at UFC 249 where Khabib had to pull out of the fight due to travel restriction as he was not allowed to leave Russia as their borders were sealed off due to Pandemic.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been pretty much active recently on Twitter as he was engaging in a Twitter war with Justin Gaethje. When Khabib posted a tweet regarding Justin, Tony jumped in and took shots at Khabib for not fighting against him at UFC 249. Khabib and Tony were supposed to fight at UFC 249, but as Khabib couldn’t make it to the event, he was replaced by Justin Gaethje who then went on to dominate Tony for four rounds before finishing him off in the fifth round.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was very active on Twitter yesterday and wasn’t shying away from any kind of confrontation. He then went on to talk about Tony Ferguson’s latest fights and presented Tony with some of his stats in recent times. Khabib mentioned that Tony hasn’t got a win over any top fifteen fighters since 2015.
