On how he asked the UFC to fight “Mystic Mac”:

My first option when Tony’s out, I tell, ‘Hey, where’s Conor? I need Conor. He’s champ. Bring this guy. When UFC call [Conor], he say, ‘Oh, I am not ready’. UFC say he is a very bad connect, like we cannot connec with him. He does not give us (UFC) answer.

Dana told me about Conor that he now has a very good sponsorship with Burger King. He want to look nice, we don’t want change his face. I say, “Okay, now I understand”.

When I pull out last time against Tony, the UFC gave me a fight, top fight against Barboza and I deserve this and that’s why I’m here. Now Tony has to deserve this. Come back after your surgery deserve this. About Conor, I don’t remember when he fight. He fought with Floyd, Alvarez and he fight with like marijuana guy Nate Diaz. When he fight no body remembers it. You have to come back and deserve this.

On his desire to fight Georges St-Pierre next:

After this fight, I’m gonna ask UFC — ‘Hey, Madison Square Garden, me vs. Georges St-Pierre. November. Let’s go! 155 (pounds). This is very good fight vs. Georges St-Pierre and me — 155. For my legacy, very important. For his legacy, become three weight classes world champion, you know. He is one of the greatest athlete ever in the UFC.
