Khabib Nurmagomedov wasted no time in congratulating the new Interim Lightweight UFC champ Tony Ferguson and tweeting out that he ‘deserved the belt’. One can only speculate whether the praise for Tony was meant as a jibe towards Conor Mcgregor who has not defended his belt since defeating Eddie Alvarez.
Tony Ferguson today defeated Kevin Lee at UFC 216 leading to a lot of speculation to what will happen next in what a lot of people consider the toughest division in the UFC.
Khabib and Tony have previously been lined up to fight three times with them all failing to materialise.
