Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former UFC Lightweight champion and the owner of Eagle FC, has thumbed up the offer from former rival Tony Ferguson about coaching The Ulitmate Fighter and wants the thumbs up from the promotion’s president, Dana White.

Be careful, Dana. We have to finish our business: Khabib on coaching TUF against Ferguson

Even though they were never seen against one another in the Octagon, Khabib and Ferguson had built up one of the most exciting antagonisms in modern MMA. Unfortunately, their fight never took place, and Khabib eventually retired from the sport before facing Ferguson in the cage.

Recently, however, “The Eagle” and “El Cucuy” have been engaged in conversations which can pit them against one another- not as fighters, but as coaches, as earlier this week Ferguson proposed the idea of coaching against Khabib in The Ultimate Fighter.

After a little back and forth on Twitter, Khabib has finally announced his decision and in a recent interview with ESPN, the Russian stated that he’s all up for the idea of coaching against Ferguson and even wants the UFC prez Dana White to reach out to him about it.

“I like this idea. We can do some stuff. Because right now, it’s like, not too many big stars in UFC right now. Myself, I’m finished. Jon Jones is not there. Henry Cejudo is not there. Daniel Cormier is not there. Of course, I don’t like this guy, but he has a big name… There are only a few people, you know? If me and Tony are going to be The Ultimate Fighter coaches, I think we can create some good content, if they’re interested,” said Khabib.

“I don’t want to give him pressure, but Dana, we have to finish two business: Islam Makhachev and The Ultimate Fighter. Please call me back, brother. Because if you don’t call me back, I’m going to be in Vegas in June. Then you’ll have to send me a message with your location. Be careful, Dana. We have to finish our business. Call me back,” the former Lightweight champ added.
