The UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is now officially the undisputed lightweight champion of the UFC after defeating the interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Poirier and unifying both the belts in the UFC’s lightweight division. After winning his fight and making another successful title defense in the main event of UFC 242 at Abu Dhabi Nurmagomedov had announced in his post-fight interview given to Jon Anik that he will auction and sell his t-shirt to raise and donate money to Poirier’s charity.
Nurmagomedov defeated Poirier due to a very dominant performance by constantly taking him down and grounding and pounding and later submitting him due to a rear-naked choke in the third round.
Poirier has a charity called The Good Fight Foundation and has already surpassed his initial goal of raising $25,000.
Now the champion’s father and his coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has revealed that the t-shirt has indeed been auctioned off and sold for a very high price.
