Khalil Rountree Jr., a light heavyweight in the UFC, has expressed his optimism before his impending bout with Jamahal Hill.
Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. are scheduled to face fight in UFC Baku’s main event. It comes after he lost to Alex Pereira in a UFC light heavyweight title bout that turned out to be far more competitive than most people had expected. Even though Khalil gave it his all, he was ultimately halted during the championship rounds.
Unfortunately, it’s safe to assume that following that loss, his stock actually increased. We believe Rountree Jr. will approach his upcoming fight against Jamahal Hill with the same mentality that demonstrated his willingness to risk everything in order to win.
Rountree Jr. recently expressed his confidence in an interview.
Rountree Jr. is optimistic
“I think it’s a great main event for people to watch,” Rountree told MMA Junkie and other reporters during the TUF anniversary scrum. “You got two big strikers going in there, and I’m ready. I’m glad that the UFC called me. I’ve been training a lot, I’ve learnt from my mistakes in the Alex fight, and just went right back to work.
“Still got some scars but they’re healed, they’re not going to open back up. My mind’s good, my heart’s good, and we get to travel. So, I’m really fired up about this match. I feel good about this matchup, and this is the most confident I’ve been in a while. So, I’m ready to share that with the fans.”
