UFC’S hottest prospect Khamzat Chimaev has gone on a Twitter spree and has called out several UFC legends who are retired from the sport. Khamzat Chimaev doesn’t like to sit idle and as the hottest prospect in the UFC, he has rolled out to find his new target but the fights he has picked are seemingly impossible to take place in the UFC. Khamzat Chimaev has fought four fights in a near span of one year. He has set a unique record in his first four fights as he has been hit just twice in all those four fights combined.
Khamzat Chimaev made his promotional debut in a middleweight bout against John Phillips, replacing Dusko Todorovic, on July 16, 2020, at UFC on ESPN 13. He convincingly won the fight via submission in the second round. He then went on to defeat Rhys McKee in the welterweight division at UFC on ESPN 14. He won back-to-back fights in the UFC in a mere 10 days span.
In one of the important tests in his UFC career, he was set to fight Gerald Meerschaert on September 19, 2020, at UFC Fight Night 178. Many thought Gerald might give a good competition to Khamzat instead he got knocked out by the very first punch Khamzat hit him with.
In his last fight, he fought top UFC welterweight fighter Li Jingliang at UFC 267. He won the fight via submission in round one. Now Khamzat has posted a series of tweets in which he calls out some of the UFC legends who are already off his radar.

“New king of UFC vs. a legend. What do you think?” Chimaev offered to fight former two-division champion St-Pierre.”
In a real wrestling match? Are you crazy Khamzat? Love that you’re confident but brother this is 10-0 DC ! @KChimaev https://t.co/yZhpi9Viiz
— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) November 30, 2021
“Let’s make a wrestling match brother, what you think? Chimaev asked to former champ-champ Cormier.”

According to the latest reports surfing around the MMA world, Khamzat Chimaev is in talks to face former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns. UFC is trying to set this fight up for the next year’s January card. No official confirmation has been made by the UFC but both fighters had previously shown interest in fighting each other.
Gilbert Burns in his last fight fought for two-time title challenger Stephen Wonderboy Thompson. Burns won the fight convincingly by decision. He used his elite grappling skills to shut down Wonderboy striking offence. Burns had previously fought UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman but lost the fight in the second round via TKO. Khamzat Chimaev on the other hand is hunting for his new opponent. The Gilbert Burns fight makes perfect sense for Chimaev as Burns is ranked no. 2 in the division and a win over him will put him right in the top spot of the division.
