UFC Welterweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev was recently training alongside former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till in Stockholm’s All-Stars Gym. Khamzat Chimaev posted a video on Instagram in which he has seen training with the ‘Gorilla’ Darren Till. The pair was soaked in sweat and were doing strength and conditioning. In the video, it was clear that Darren Till was pushed to his limits by Khamzat Chimaev and his team. Darren Till was working pretty hard and was also having fun alongside Khamzat. During the entire video, Khamzat Chimaev was motivating and encouraging Darren Till to work harder.
Darren Till was also going toe-to-toe in a sparring session against Khamzat Chimaev and Alexander Gustaffson. Dareen Till looked very motivated and happy to train with these guys as he was also seen joking around. In one of the videos, Khamzat was calling Darren Till a Fat Boy as he was struggling while doing core exercises.
Darren Till is interested in fighting Sean Strickland
Darren Till was once the top welterweight contender. He challenged then welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for the title in 2018 but lost the fight via submission. He is recently been fighting in the UFC’s middleweight division. Till made his middleweight debut against Kelvin Gastelum and won the fight via decision. He then faced back-to-back losses against Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson.
In his last interview, he talked about his future of fighting and said that he is interested in fighting Sean Strickland.
“I would like to fight Sean Strickland,” Till said in an interview with Freak MMA. I don’t know if that fight could happen. I know he’s on a good win streak, and I’m coming off a loss, but I think it would be a good fight, where like trash talk and standup fighting with each other. I’d like to fight Sean Strickland if that opportunity came about. As I said, I respect him, and I know he’s on a winning streak, but I think it would be a good fight.”
“He could be, as well,” Till said on Hermansson. “He’s coming off a loss to Sean, so that’s a possibility. It could be Jack, as well. I don’t know. There’s a lot of options. There’s a lot of opportunities. I’ve signed a new contract with the UFC anyway, so I’ve got another like four or five-fight contract thanks to my coach. My coach sorted that.”
